Retreat Opportunity this Weekend

You are invited to a  Retreat with Father Jim Clarke, PhD  when he presents:

Healing Ways of Encountering God

Saturday, October 27, 2012

9:00 am to 4:00 pm

The human journey is punctuated with transitions.  Do we celebrate and commemorate these transitions?  Learn prayer practices that help to bring to our awareness feelings, emotions, thoughts and intuitions that occur during times of change. Explore why it would be important to express these realities in ways that make a difference.  For anyone looking for ways to mark life-altering transitions:  Church and Community leadership, liturgists, teachers, couples, and parents are just a few who might benefit from Fr Jim’s Retreat.

Father Jim Clarke, PhD retrieves the wisdom of the past and applies contemporary understanding to guide us in ways of making these invisible realities visible.  Ritualizing movements of transition and change help us to open ourselves to encounters with God that heal and encourage us at the deepest level of our human need.   We are truly blessed to have Fr. Jim travel from California to provide this Retreat to our local community!

About WalkingwithBenedict

I love how scripture comes alive with messages for our lives today. In praying with scripture, we are called into deeper relationship with God and others. We are called to the growth in love, hospitality, peace, humility, stewardship and hope. St Benedict's Rule provides a lens for how scripture can be lived in our lives today whether we live inside or outside a monastery.
